Send Off Party For Nationals

4th of July Parade - Middleton, Idaho

This was my first time to attend the Middleton 4th of July parade. The weather was beautiful, and everyone was enjoying this wet-n -wild parade. It was fun to see all of the kids with their water balloons in hand waiting for a nod to say it was okay to throw them. I had a few brave kids attempt to throw balloons at me, but none were successful! (: I caught one of them and quickly threw it back at them. The kids loved that!

"Walk Me Home"- Fundraiser for Foster Children

A Few of the items that will be raffled off!

This was the first Annual "Walk Me Home" Fundraiser in Idaho Falls. There was a great turn out for an awesome cause! My husband and I have always wanted to be Foster Parents. We had all of our paperwork done and ready to submit when our son became very ill a few years back. We had to put everything on hold and focus on our little one, but we still have hopes of one day becoming Foster Parents! It is a great opportunity to share your love with a child that is missing that in their life.

Pre-School Sun Safety - Class #3

Paper Plate Sun Visors It was a blast making Paper Plate Sun Visors with all 3 pre-school classes. I think the kids favorite part though was when we practiced putting sunscreen on a barbie doll. It was definitely a fun way to teach them the proper way to apply sunscreen and exactly where they need to put it. Ex: Ears, Nose, Cheeks, Neck, Shoulders.....

Bonneville High School- Health Class #3- Skin Cancer Awareness

This was my third health class to speak to this week. Making the total # of High School students I spoke to about 90. I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge of Skin Cancer with our youth. I just hope that they will pass that knowledge on to those they know as well. I got a great response out of each group and hope that they will take the things I shared with them to heart, and STOP tanning and use sunscreen every time they are outside.

Pre-School Sun Safety - Class #2

Paper Plate Sun Visors

Pre-School Sun Safety - Class #1

Bonneville High School- Health Class #1 & #2- Skin Cancer Awareness

I spoke to 2 Bonneville High Health classes today about Skin Cancer and the dangers that exist. The classes combined consisted of 60 sophomore students. It is always neat to see how talkative they are in the beginning, and by the end of my presentation a dead silence. We need to educate more people of the dangers of Tanning beds and the suns UV Rays.

Ririe Junior Miss Finals Night

I really enjoyed seeing the girls compete tonight. It was nice to see that they listened to what I shared with them earlier in the week. The competition was tough and everyone handled it with grace and respect for everyone around them.

Junior Miss Motivational Speech- Ririe, Idaho

Tonight was dress rehearsal for Ririe High Junior Miss. I was honored to be their guest and motivational speaker for the evening. I loved watching the girls try to figure out how to put toothpaste back into the tube....by the way it can't be done! (: This was to teach the girls that they can't take back their actions and hurtful words once they come out. We need to leave a positive legacy for ourselves and always respect others especially in a competition!

Idaho Falls Youth Group- SKIN CANCER

I love speaking to Youth Groups. They are so open minded and ready to soak up everything you say. This is the time in their lives that they are influential and need guidance from good role models. I am honored to be one of them! Sharing my story about Skin Cancer and teaching them that they to are QUEENS is so fulfilling. If I can change one persons life and help them realize their worth I have done my job!!
